Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) 2018/2019

The Department of Immigration has published the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) for the next financial year.

The financial year in Australia starts on the 1st July.

BE CAREFUL: there is a lot of confusion between the STSOL and the MLTSSL.

The Department of Immigration released both, but the list used to apply for the most sought-after visa, the Permanent Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189, is the STSOL, and not the MLTSSL.

The STSOL is used to apply for the Permanent Skilled State-Nomination Visa Subclass 190 (if your occupation is also on a State or Territory list) and visas within the Employer Nomination Program, such as the Sponsorship Work Visa (if you have a job offer from an Australian employer).
